About Ratings
Set results are from the start.gg API. We only use events with 32 or more players.
Ratings are calculated from these set results with the Glicko rating system. Every player starts with a rating of 1500. RD (rating deviation) shows how accurate a rating is. A lower RD means a more accurate rating.
Every player starts with an RD of 350. The RD goes down when a player plays sets. The RD goes up a little every week. So the RD goes up when a player does not play for a long time. The RD is always between 30 and 350.
To be in the ranking, a player needs an RD below 150 and at least one set in the last 26 weeks.
Ratings and rankings can change later. This is also true for past weeks. Changes can happen when we add, fix or remove results. They can also happen when we change how ratings are calculated.
